Leapfrogging With Commander Hadfield

Only Commander Hadfield could get me up at the ungodly hour of 630am. I was so excited for Vancouver Board of Trade’s Leapfrogging Innovation to Business Revolution tech forum. It’s one thing to have met him through a book signing, but it’s an entirely different experience hearing him speak. The man is an amazing speaker. He’s charismatic, intelligent and an eloquent storyteller. We were completely in awe of him.

I live-tweeted the sold-out forum. Here are some of highlights:

After Commander Hadfield’s keynote, he took some questions from the audience. I’m sure everyone would agree with me when I say that we didn’t want him to leave. He was such an engaging speaker and totally down to earth.

BONUS: he even stayed on for photo ops with audience members. As much as I would’ve loved to do that, it was one helluva line-up. Naturally. And I unfortunately, had to get back to work.

And if the book signing that I went to was any indication, Commander Hadfield would’ve graciously stayed on to make sure everyone waiting in line would’ve gotten a picture or an autograph. That’s the kind of gentleman he is.
