This is Charlie’s favourite stuffy. Here’s a picture I snapped of him after he dragged the stuffy across the room to lay at my feet. Adorable, right?

Not an isolated incident, this is how Charlie likes to relax. Seriously. How is it that I’ve never known of a cat that likes to unwind in this position.
Such a little peanut.
It’s now 2 weeks since I finished my contract with EA. Being home so much now, I think I’m becoming more fluent in Cat-onese.
As a result of being unemployed, I’m getting more playtime, as well as, neck cuddle time in with Charlie. This has been his go-to position with me, ever since we adopted him. Bless.
That’s all she wrote!
Or rather, my contract with EA as the community manager for Need for Speed World has now come to an end. What started out as a 6 month contract, got extended 3 times, bringing it to just over to one helluva year with the company. I enjoyed working with the team and learning how to build and manage a community on a global scale.
You’d think that making games was the funnest and easiest thing to do in the world, but it turns out, that it’s one of the most challenging, at times, soul-crushing (gamers are notoriously a hard community to handle) thing I’ve ever had the honour to be a part of.

What did I choose to do on my first day of (f)unemployment? Go to the Greater Vancouver Zoo! Baby animals newly born!

They say that who you first crush on lays the foundation of the type of partner you’d find attractive later in life. Well, my first pre-teen movie star crush was James Dean. I fell in celluloid love with his acting, his creative brilliance, his eccentricities, his style and his hair. Added bonus thrill for me when I found out that he and I coincidentally shared the same birthdate.

Who needs a daily wake up call when I have Charlie?
