I was JUST saying to Sean the other day how I hope that Charlie and Jonesy would soon become sleeping buddies. And then this happened.
Lately, they have been sleeping in the same general vicinity when they’re both on the sectional. It looks like they’re making their way towards the other, however, they’re not at the point where they’re grooming each other or sleeping in a furry pile.
Could be because Jonesy is still quite skittish of Charlie. She’s slowly coming around, although it has to be on her terms. If Charlie comes to close all of a sudden, she can feel threatened and starts hissing away, paw up and ready to strike.
Mind you, it would help if Charlie was not always hell bent on straddling her (even though they’re both fixed). Then maybe, she would be more open to cuddles.
So, these pictures that Sean took while I was at work are HUGE. Jonesy sleeping near Charlie on his big boy bed! Not that anyone else would think it’s a big deal, but for us, This is giant step.
They’re getting closer! And you can bet that we’ll record the day when they’ve become one indistinguishable fur pile.
