Favourite things about spring: cherry blossom season + celebrating this fella.
And since COVID restrictions haven’t been lifted yet – stage one of BC’s restart plans don’t kick in until May 25 – that means no traveling, personal gatherings or dining indoors.
But there’s still take-out from our favourite restaurants and our daily walks around our neighbourhood. The double pink or kanzan cherry blossom trees are now in full bloom.
We were able to coordinate with Sean’s best friends to meet at the Indian restaurant we’d go to every year, order take out and then go home and jump on a Zoom call to have virtual dinner together.
It may not be how we’d like to celebrate (for the second year in a row), but we still have our family and friends, our health, and each other. Here’s hoping next year we’ll be able to do sit down dinner at Aroma again.
