Solo Staycation at the Loden Hotel

The Loden Hotel is my favourite boutique hotel in Vancouver.

Although I really enjoyed my stays at Hyatt RegencyShangri-laRosewood Hotel GeorgiaL’Hermitage, and of course, the Pan Pacific Vancouver, I have to say ever since my birthday last year, the Loden Hotel is becoming my go-to hotel whenever I want to treat myself via Stay Vancouver promotions.

It’s the luxurious touches and attention to details:

  • Handwritten welcome note with chocolates + almonds
  • Molton Brown shower gel, body lotion and hair care toiletries
  • Deep soaker tub with waterfall spout and rainfall shower
  • Most comfortable pillows ever

This time around, I went by myself. I picked up my favourite dishes from Banana Leaf and just had a quiet night after a long week. Didn’t think about work. Didn’t have to take care of anybody.

Self care is so important especially these days and “me” time is about taking the time out to do the things you want to do on your own, away from work and the household. Press pause on your stress and responsibilities for a day.

Taking time to nurture oneself is not a luxury – it’s a must, and one that we definitely shouldn’t feel guilty about.
