Pieces of felt in 23 colours. Getting my craft and my geek on and making Christmas tree ornaments!

Sean surprised me with my first real Chrimbus tree! No plastic trees in this house! We’re going to decorate the poop out of this.

Twitter always amazes me. I came across this new video by futurist Jason Silva, posted today on Huffington Post. And as with all his other videos (remember this one?), I liked it so much that I shared it with my Twitter followers.
As with any celebrity figure on Twitter, I certainly don’t expect a reply – that would be totally unreasonable, considering how many followers they have, constantly sending them messages or mentioning them. But when and IF they have a moment, to take the time to acknowledge your tweet, I find myself continually taken aback, floored. That’s what happened with Shirley Manson, Clint Mansell, David Usher and Kirstine Stewart.
Today I got this response to my tweet.

Like, wow!
Never even thought of tweeting his video out to invoke a response. Just wanted to get the word out and let my followers know that Silva has a twitter account, where they too, could follow him.
But to get an acknowledgement from a free-thinker I so admire! I would hate to think what I’d be like if i met him in real life. Probably reduced to a star-struck puddle on the floor.
How wonderful that we live in an age where we are able to connect with those who inspire us so easily.

This little panda is going to join my other WWF Canada adopted plushies at home.

While I can’t say that they’re buddies who sleep in a ball together or groom each other, after nearly a year of living together, Jonesy and Charlie have their “friendly” moments. Like this picture I took of them at the windowsill.
Or should I say, friendly on Charlie’s part, tolerable on Jonesy’s. It is a big step up for Jonesy. Remember this? And this?
If we were to play photo assumption, what do you think they’re saying to each other?
Charlie: Want to be friends who play together, chase each other and fall asleep with each other? Please?
Jonesy: I need more time.

Commander Chris Hadfield, is currently on a book tour, promoting An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth. And on what was the rainiest day of the year, I hoofed it out to Surrey Central City to line up with a thousand other fans to get their books autographed by Canada’s favourite astronaut.

Received my photos from my Sidecar Experience! I had hired Shanghai Insiders’ staff photographer for a ride-along, so that they could document my experience. I think the pics turned out great.

Sean and I went to see astronaut David Saint-Jacques at the Vancouver Aquarium last night. You’d think that an aquarium and astronaut pairing might sound a little random, but it turned out to be a great combination.
