Let Me Out

Now that Charlie and Jonesy has enjoyed being outside, this is a regular sight to see in our house. And if we’re lucky, they will let us sleep, uninterrupted. Sometimes. That’s just wishful thinking as there has been more than a few occasions, we’d be awaken by the sound of Charlie’s desperate meows, followed by up on the hind legs and scratching at the windows and rolled up blinds to be let out.

Did I mention that this happens at six in the morning? All because he’s reacting to the birds outside. We could snooze through the chirps of the birds greeting the dawn, if we’re already asleep, but the sounds of clamouring about and the pitiful meows? That usually breaks my sleep.

He’s lucky he’s so cute. Because I LOVE my sleep.

Oh, and excuse the binder clips holding up the rolled up blinds. Ghetto, I know, but that’s the only way that we can placate Charlie. If he doesn’t get to see outside at his eye level, he would literally be on a mission to tear down those blinds.
